The Role

As an Operations Specialist, you'll be taking on a varied and dynamic role covering a range of responsibilities including payment processing, customer queries and everything in between. You will be a part of a critical team at Kriya, which supports a frictionless purchasing experience for our customers ensuring funds flow seamlessly from the company accounts to our customers accounts and vice versa.


This is an exciting role where you will have exposure to other parts of the company, allowing you to gain a deep understanding of how the wider business functions. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement your ideas to improve making the processes slick and scalable. Alongside this you will gain insights into customer behaviour and pain points and have the chance to get involved in wider company projects to apply improvements to the customer experience and products.




What you'll be doing:

  • Executing payments and reconciling those received to settle outstanding debts
  • Responding to queries from both customers and our merchants
  • Reconciling our bank accounts, monitoring payments and making sure all the transactions and records are accurate
  • Working closely with other teams as well as external stakeholders
  • Working closely with our banking and payment services providers to ensure we’re giving our customers the best possible service
  • Developing our process and automation strategy to improve the way we serve our customers


  • Full working proficiency in English

  • You will have a strong academic background and you have a good understanding of how business finance and payment products work
  • Excellent Excel skills, and comfortable working with numbers, ratios, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to manage and build trusted, lasting and fruitful relationships.
  • Strong analytical, numeracy and research skills.
  • Keen interest in the FinTech sector and the growing online lending space
  • You’ll thrive under the pressure of quickly switching between tasks and prioritising a large number of work streams
  • Enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, start-up environment
